On Saturday, September 11, we will host our next Breakfast Event and Service Day. We'll start with the famous pancake breakfast, along with sausage, fruit and beverages. We'll have a brief program and then head out to a local neighborhood. In honor of September 11, this is a great way to have fellowship while helping serve others in need in our community. No special skills required, just a willingness to help.
CONNECTIONS: A Retreat for Young Adults
If you are single or married, in your 20s or 30s, Cedarkirk is hosting an event just for you. The retreat will feature time for fellowship, sharing, worship, and keynote experiences. Our own Derek Thompson will be providing leadership at this event. It begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1 st and concludes at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning the 3rd . World Communion Sunday
You are invited to participate in our church's celebration of World Communion Sunday on October 3, 2010. Participants dress in native costumes of their national heritage (or a country of your choice) and are part of the processional for the church services. We would love to see Russia, Norway, Sweden, Spain, England, Italy, countries from South America and the United States represented this year. Also, let us know if you have a costume that you are willing to lend for the occasion. If you want to discover your SHAPE, then please join us for a six-week series of mini-lectures, exercises and small group discussions that will give you insight into how you have been equipped for discipleship.
